Kalahari Resorts and American Idol Winner Team Up to Fund Swim Lessons for Children In Honor of July 28th Holiday
WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–National Waterpark Day is right around the corner and nothing says summer like spending time in the water on a family vacation.
This year, Kalahari Resorts and Conventions, home to America’s Largest Indoor Waterparks, partnered with mother, singer and entrepreneur Jordin Sparks to celebrate the third-annual holiday, which the resort founded in 2017. Sparks, her husband and one-year-old son Dana Isaiah Jr. recently visited the resort’s Pocono Mountains location for a family getaway to experience Kalahari’s newest attractions.
“Summer vacations and spending time in the water are some of my most cherished childhood memories,” said Sparks. “Now that I have my own family, it’s important for me to create the same moments for my son to enjoy. We had a blast gearing up for National Waterpark Day at Kalahari – the resort truly has something fun for everyone and we can’t wait to go back.”
Studies show that children who regularly spend time and are comfortable around water are healthier and have increased self-confidence. In advance of National Waterpark Day on July 28, Kalahari Resorts and Sparks made a donation to the USA Swimming Foundation’s “Make A Splash” program, which funds swimming lessons for children.
“We are obviously passionate about waterparks and have seen first-hand how they provide the perfect atmosphere to spend quality time having fun with your family and making lasting memories,” said Travis Nelson, spokesperson, Kalahari Resorts and Conventions. “We founded National Waterpark Day as the perfect occasion to create those moments.”
Guests visiting Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Wisconsin Dells, Sandusky, Ohio, or the Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, July 28, can expect a day full of fun activities including: waterslide scavenger hunt (and prizes for those brave enough to ride all the slides in one day), on-site DJs to spin new and classic summer tunes, family poolside fun activities, branded giveaways and more.
In addition to America’s Largest Indoor Waterparks, Kalahari Resorts and Conventions also offers outdoor waterparks, premium dining experiences, a luxury spa and dry-play activities including virtual reality attractions, escape rooms, indoor theme parks, ropes courses, zip lining and more. The company is currently constructing its fourth location in Round Rock, Texas, which is slated to open in Fall 2020.
